Gone Stamping Crazy.
Apr. 24th, 2006 | 06:27 pm
So I have a new hobby that has taken me over. I love it. Its stamping. Mostly I make cards or book marks but today I tried to do domino tiles they look awesome. I have even put them on a website for stampers. There is a store in Sarnia that I love and they have been having classes every week and of course I had to go they even had an all day class. My mom went with me to a couple classes and we had fun and when we get together we end up doing some sort of craft. Now that Kari is going to be done school next week she'll be joining in the madness.
Heres a picture of my tiles I did today.

And if you want to check out

So on Saturday Jeff and I got a new couch well it was a new couch to us. Its nice even though its nothing I would pick out a little to country for but its sooo... much better then our old ugly thing. I hated that ugly hunter green puff couch now I have a nice simple lined couch.

sorry i can't make the picture smaller for some reason.

Its been a while since I've updated. Jeff and I went to Matt and Staceys wedding on Saturday, it was a really nice wedding. I felt really bad because I had to leave really early I was feeling awful I had the worst headache and felt sick to my stomach. Poor Jeff had to drive me home in the snow and make some quick pull over stops. Ooo he is so sweet, he didn't say anything about me getting sick. He even helped me take my hair down. The next day I went to work but I had to leave early cause I was still feeling sick to my stomach and I didn't go on monday either. I wish we could have stayed longer I know Jeff would have had a lot of fun.
Work isn't going so well we are really short on money so I get laid off at the end of my contract (march 13). I don't know how long I'll be off work hopefully not too long. On the upside Jeff's work is closing for 2 weeks starting the 13 so we get to spend 2 weeks together. It will be nice.
Hope everyone's well.

Don't worry this isn't going to be a sappy entry. I am just listening to some Johnny Cash and ring of fire just started. Onto other news..
Lately Jeff and I have seen some great movies. The latest was Memoirs of a Geisha. I had waited till I finished the book which didn't take long at all because it was an amazing book. I would recommend it to any one that likes to read. The movie was good too but as usual the book is better. They made the movie more violent then the book there was hardly any in the book but for some reason they had to had some . Brokeback Mountain one of the better movies made lately awesome, its so much more the a gay cowboy movie. Its so sad I cried the last 20 minutes of the movie its sooooo good. We took my grandparents to see Walk the Line we all really like it, it was a good movie. I think thats all the movies we went to see lately.
Today Jeff, my Dad, Simon my parents Jack Russel and I are going to go to Sarina and get a new computer I can't wait!!! I've been wanting a new one for a long time this one has had its time. Its going to be nice we are going to get high speed (finally). I'll have to update again when we get our new pc.
Hope everyone is doing good.

Well its almost here. We are going to be sooo busy. Christmas eve we are heading to Jane and Brad house for brunch and presents then its straight to my grandparents in Strathroy for more food and presents. The next couple of days are going to be just as busy. On christmas day we are going to Jeff's grandparents for lunch and presents then its to my parents for dinner and more presents. Even boxing day is crazy. We are having breakfast with Jeffs dad's family then we have to go back to my parents house for another dinner with my dads parents. I am going to be so stuffed and gifted out I'll need to sleep for a week. Jeff and I don't get much time to ourselves but least we'll be together even if there is alot of people around.
I hope everyone has a wonderful christmas filled with lots of love.

I have to say I just love christmas. On sunday I went with my parents to get our christmas tree, (jeff had to work so he couldn't go). I picked out a really cute tree. Every year Jeff and I have a really hard time making the tree straight but with a little help from some handy string our tree is up and straight. I put all our presents under the tree and its filled with goodies for family, but I haven't got any tape so they're not wrapped yet. I have little decorations throughout the house yes I am martha stewarty. Sandi doesn't know really what to think of the tree or just doesn't care, but if I can't find Ash she'll be laying under the tree like a beautiful present. (sorry if you don't know Sandi and Ash are our cats)
Saturday was the pinerys christmas party. It was pretty good, we had assigned seats so there wasn't much socializing (which was good). Dinner was really good, and after dinner it was Yuk Yuks there were pretty funny. Then after that we went down stairs to the slots and used our five dollar tokens we got with our tickets. It was a pretty good night and I think we made the right choice to go to mine and not Jeffs. Jeff heard that his was boring.

Today I went to the Pinery for a memorial service for my friend Bob, the park got his badges framed and we made a nice bench in honor of him. It was nice but it did bring back all the emotions I've worked so hard at dealing with back. I did get to tell his wife and son how much I miss him and how much of an impacted he had on my life. That was something that I wasn't able to tell them at the visitation and I am so glad I did it today.

Well that happened today. I was at work driving past the meeting center (a building that groups can rent out and get meals cooked for them) and across the street up a hill I seen 2 ladies (in their 50) taking pictures one was buck naked except for a set of wings and a crown on her head. Thats it. The other lady was taking her picture. You know how cold it was today?! All day it became a regular thing one girl had bunny ears, and after a while i just tried to close my eyes as a drove past. Crazy shit I tell you. Well that was my excitement today.

I just thought I would write a quick update. Nothing new has really happened, work is going pretty good considering. We got pins in memory of Bob yesterday so I was really thankful that my managers let us doing something for him and even be let us wear it on our uniforms. So many people have no idea how to wear a pin everyone has it on their right side I was the only one that put it over my heart, after I told people to move it, it slowly went around the park and was corrected.

*Brad I want to know how you do a link to a part of your journal that you have to click on to see, I think that would be better then having a big picture of something on my journal. If you could help that would be awesome.

Oh my did we have fun on Saturday night. I went to London to Kitty's (my uncle's girlfriend) and met up with my good friend from hairschool Am (AKA Slut). We did some pre-drinking there. Lets just say it didn't take me long to catch up with them. We had an awesome night we ended up at GT's for most of the night. MMMMM purple hooters. Kitty got me hooked on these cigars that taste like chocolate there so good I am going to go buy some today. I got way to drunk and lets just say I didn't make it to work the next day because I was still drunk at 12. I can't wait till next time. Erin you have to come next time.
Am, Kitty and of course half of me.

Well I made it though the visitation. I was actually a lot stronger then I thought I was going to be. I didn't how ever really look at him. It really help having people around that cared about me, even people I never thought would really helped me through it. Yet there hasn't been I day yet that I haven't found myself thinking about Bob and crying because I am going to miss him so much. The day of the funeral was a hard one I really would have like to have gone. When I got to work I was told that the hurst was going to be driving by the park to go to the cemetery and everyone was going to stand by the highway as it passed. It was really heart warming and I balled my eyes out. His son looked shocked to see the whole Pinery park staff (well close too it) standing outside on the highway paying our last respects to a wonderful man. I really don't think there will be a day that goes by at work that I won't think of him, eventually I know I won't cry every day. I have really changed my ways of thinking at work because of Bobs passing. Me and a lot of people from work blame our super attendant for Bob's death, so work has been stressful. It helps know that there is a union backing us up and we are fighting to get rid of the super attendant. On tuesday I believe there is a bunch of us going to sign a grievance for a poisoned work environment, I just wish we would have done this in the fall maybe I would still have Bob, but I can't think that way. I know work can only get better. (I'll just tell myself that)

On monday when I got to work I found out that a really good friend of mine died the night before. He was older (57) but not old enough. I am having a hard time beleiving that he is really gone. Everyday for the past 6 years he has been there for me when ever I needed it. He always called me his girlfriend and asked when I was going to leave Jeff for him. He was the nicest most caring person I have ever met. He was just always there. He had become part of my family and I know I was part of his (he didn't have a lot of people that cared for him in his family) and I am going to miss him alot. Everyone at work has been really kind to me making sure I am okay. Tonight is his visitation and I really don't want to go, I am scared. I really don't want to see him. His family just wants a private service so I won't be going to that even though I seen him more then they did.

Well I've been back to work now for four days and I wished every minute of it I was still on holidays with Jeff. We had a really good time. We went, cherry picking on monday. It was fun I don't think Jeff has ever done that before so it was a good thing to do then we were invited over to my parents for dinner.
Tuesday was our Framers Market adventure. We got to there no problems but we most of drove around in circles for an hour when we only missed it by 2 minutes. So that sucked wasted a lot of gas. There wasn't a lot there on a tuesday mostly there is a whole other building open across the street, but we had fun and got some goodies. We even made it home without haveing to go in a circle once.
Wednesday was just a nice relaxing day. We went to the Piney, yes I went there on my holidays. We walked Riverside Trail which was a really nice trail. Now I only have 3 more trails I haven't been on. Its sad I worked there for 5 years and haven't been on all the trails. This summer though I would like to finish them. After our little hike we were hungry so we just went to the store and had french fries and hot dogs, then it was off to the beach. I don't think there is nothing more relaxing them floating in water. Once we got home we had just enough time to change and go to erin's house for a wonderful dinner.
We woke up early thursday morning so we had lots of time in Frankenmuth and Birchrun. We had a little trouble getting into the states, (jeff didn't have a birth certificate) but eventually she let us in. Then we were off trying to make sure I wasn't going to fast, why can they just use km? I found it a lot easier then I thought I would since my car in a Acura the miles is so tiny I can't see if when I am driving so when I speed changed I had to look real close to see if I was going about the right speed. I was amazing how fast we got there and we no troubles at all, thanks to Map Quest. I thought it would take us twice as long as it so we got there and still hadn't had breakfast. We had a great time the weather was perfect not too hot. We walked and walked all day. We got some really cool cheap stuff. I can't wait to go back again. Our hotel was really nice, I defiantly stay there again. I think every person on here would like to go there. Lots of shopping.
Well that was all our holidays I hope everyone has there own good holidays.

Its almost Valentines day already. Its funny that when I was single I thought it was the stupidest holiday ever. I still think its stupid but not as much. Jeff and I aren't doing anything monday I am however going to make him a wonderful dinner. Something a little special not much.
Two days after Valentines is my 23rd birthday. Jeff said he is taking me out for a nice dinner. So I'm looking forward to it.
I hate how when one thing dies everything has to go with it, why is that? As you know I got a new car a couple weeks ago. Shortly after that our computer monitor blow up, then on Sunday our dryer went. So we bit the bullet and got a bran spanking new set. Jeff was afraid the washer would go so we just got both. They are getting delivered tomorrow so when I come home from work I can finally do some laundry. Its our first brand new thing for our house.
Hope everyone has a good valentines day.

Wow it has seemed like for ever since I've been on here. Today is a big day I'm getting a new car (well new to me). I haven't even seen it yet and already bought it. I trust my dad if he says its a good car then it must be a good car. I've looked it up on the internet and everyone has good stuff to say about it and the pictures of it seem really nice. It's an oldie but a goodie, it is a 1994 Acura Interga. Its green which isn't by far my favourite but it could be worse. This is what it kinda looks like minus the nice wheels and the spoiler.

For those of you that thought I have fallen of the face of the earth. Sorry to say but I'm still here. I've been working a lot. I don't like that I can never do anything cause I don't get off till 8:30 and by the time I get home its a little after nine and by then its too late. Work is going really good this year, we have a new boss and she knows what she is doing. Down side is that my contract ends sept 6 but there is a big chance that one of the two people that work all year is either going to leave on her own or get fired so my fingers are crossed.
Life in forest is pretty good. I love our apartment. It was hard at first getting used to everything. Even though Jeff lived at my house for a long time before it still took some getting used to. It is my home now which is nice. I really like having people over for dinner on my days off. When I'm done working at the Pinery I think we should have all you guys come over.
Thats pretty much it in my exciting life.

Well today Jeff and I get our keys to our new apartment. Its exciting. Soon everything will come together. Sunday my grandpa is coming with a moving truck from his work. It shouldn't take long to move everything. We don't have that much stuff. My parents are doing really good, considering within 2 days both Kari and I are doing something big and "grown up", Kari is going for her G2 on Monday.
I quit my hairdressing job already. I really didn't like it from the beginning. The Pinery is going really well. The first day I was so sore I forgot that its a lot of physical work. My tan is well under way, (well my driving arm up to my sleeve) thats one thing I like about working there in the summer you get just enough sun that you have some colour but you never seem to get dark.
Thats all for today still have some packing to do. I want to get it all done by tomorrow.

Today I just have a quick question for everyone not just the people in relationships. To you what are the 3 most important things that make a relationship good?
